HOW I APPLY CREATIVE WORKFLOW - Ken Fong
This event will be held Tuesday, Aug 7, 2018 7:00PM to 9:30PM
Location: River of Life Christian Church, Fellowship Hall,
1177 Laurelwood Road, Santa Clara, CA 95054
Ken Fong has been involved with photography since his childhood and teenage years. Learning with a darkroom, Ken’s journey in photography spanned from 35mm film, to medium and large format film, to digital media. Today, he is a passionate landscape photographer that teaches composition and post-processing in California, Japan, Iceland, and Hawaii. Ken will also be teaching photographic art courses this winter at the Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga.
For the past two years with Photo101, Ken has presented the fundamentals of photographic composition: the elements that make a composition strong and stand out. For this year’s presentation, Ken will take a more personal approach to share about his own favorite compositions and describe the creative workflow processes that went into them, from scouting, to capture, to post-processing treatments. Though the discussion will be kept at a high level, the attendees will walk away with a better understanding of what goes into BUILDING a photographic composition while learning how to minimize the familiar “spray and pray” snapshot situation.
Admission is $25 at the door. Free for 101 photo club members.
