Minimalism is a style that uses very simple design elements in it's art work.
It is a very subjective concept in the art world that exist mostly in visual arts and music
and of cause in photography. In this lecture, I will introduce you the Minimalist Photography
and show you how it is different from normal photography. I will teach you how to appreciate
the minimalist photography and see the world from Minimalist point of view and finally to
create your own very good minimalist photos. This lecture will open up a whole new world for
you and give you opportunity to explore the world in totally different ways.

About the speaker
Ricky Pan is an award winning photographer. His photos have won several awards: 1st and 2nd place awards
from the City of Los Gatos photo competition (2013, 2014), Intel Corp. photo competition headquarter site
1st Place Award (2016), San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory photo competition Merit Awards (2011, 2014, 2015).
And more than 50 awards in minimalist photography special groups under FaceBook.
He is the school photographer for Rainbow Chinese School and Silicon Valley Chinese School for more than 8 years.
He also sometime on assignment to do Wedding/Event/Portrait photography.
He currently owns two systems, a Canon DSLR (70D) and a Olympus Mirrorless OM-D EM-5 II.
